Grooming Supplies

Shampoo is a necessity with a new puppy! Really, any shampoo will work. A tip for ease of use: take an empty dish soap bottle and fill it with warm water. Squeeze a good amount of the shampoo in and shake to mix. Once the pup is wetted down, use this mixture to wash the puppy, it will lather and rinse easier. Aroma Care Shampoo.
Dematting spray, a good product to use after your pups bath. Spray on when your pup is wet and use your slicker brush to brush through. I find it’s easier to brush through dogs coats when they are wet. Once they are dry they will be so soft, once dry brush them with your slicker brush again. Glo Coat Spray.
Everyone always asks me what I wash the pups with: “they smell so good”. It’s this: Fresh N’ Clean cologne spray, fresh scent. It has the prettiest floral scent! I love it. Fresh N’ Clean.
Ear cleaner is a must have if you own a Doodle! Their cute floppy ears can cause them to have dirtier ears than breeds with upright ears. No worries though, just get some great ear cleaner, some cotton pads or balls, fill the ear with a squirt of ear cleaner, squish it around by rubbing the base of your dogs ears, rub…rub…rub. now stand back…..release the ear rub and let them shake out the excess. Take your cotton pad or ball and wipe out any ear cleaner or ear wax that’s visible. Repeat until the swab comes out clean. Zymox.
Zymox is a great brand for dogs. All of their products are quite useful. Their ear soothing medicine is very handy to have on hand if your doodle happens to have minor irritation or inflammation in their ears. You can use this as directed and get your dog back on track to great ear health. They have a few different formulas: Original, one with medicine and hydrocortisone for itching, and one for chronic
